Karlqvist's Smide is a medium sized company whose primary customer group is located in the building, recycling and manufacturing industries. Our goal is to satisfy all customers on an equal basis regardless of the size of this. With a solid knowledge and experience we are trying to cater to customer requirements in a timely manner without compromising quality.
Our broad customer base means we have a well-developed machinery, including a gas / plasma cutting machine with a capacity of 12.5x3 meters.
We have been choosen by MVB Astor to build the steelstucture of a new school in Lidköping. We are glad to once again be choosen by MVB on such a big project. The delivery is estimated to be 100 tons excluding the composite beams.
We have been commissioned by Stenmarks Bygg to build two new buildings on the South Cemetery in Lidköping.
We have received orders for a stainless steel silo that is 3.5 meters in diameter and a total height of ca. 8 meters the end customer is Lantmännen Reppe in Lidköping.
We have been commissioned by Skanska to perform various rebuilding projects for new store openings in Orionhuset, Lidköping. We are pleased to once again been chosen by Skanska, which has been a major customer during the year.
We have been choosed by Skanska to build the framework of a new photovoltaic system at Skövde hospital. The project consists of eight roofmodules each of them measures 51 meters in lenght and 12 meters in width. The project starts in September and is expected to be completed in December 2015 and consists of approximately 200 tons of steel.
We have recived an order from Volvo Powertrain to produce and install walkways in a sand silo building. A tricky work which requires a lot of on site craftsmanship.
We have been ordered to produce an approximately 200 meter long conveyor tunnel to Familjen Dafgård in Källby. The tunnel is 6 meters wide and 4 meters tall and is made in sections of about 20 meters at our workshop. We are pleased to once again get the trust from one of our oldest customers. The project is expected to be ready for spring by 2015.
We have been commissioned by Peab to build the steel frame of a new coolants central on Familjen Dafgårds factory in Källby. The steel frame consists of columns, trusses and joists of steel grating.
We have won a tender submission to MVB Backgården regarding steel frame for a new bus terminal in Trollhättan. It's fun to be able to compete on an extended area than our closest region which is our primary operating area.

We have received an order from Bulkteknik Sweden AB to manufacture and pre-assemble a large conveyor which later should be mounted in Shanghai. The project time is estimated between week 38 until week 46.
We have been choosen by Stenmarks Bygg to build the steelstructure of a new warehouse in Lidköping. The work will start in the late summer and are expected to be completed in the end of October.

We have invested in a new plate rolling machine. With this investment, we hope to become a more competitive supplier of pipes. The machine is a Davi MCA2020 that can handle a plate width of 2 meters and prebending up to 8 mm in thickness. The roll is equipped with iRoll Plus, the most advanced CNC-control in the industry. Delivery will take place in week 32.
Karlqvist´s Smide has been commissioned to construct a complete hall for Paroc in Hällekis. The object includes both the steel structure as walls, ceilings and doors. We are delighted to continue working with Paroc which has long been a major customer.
We have been choosed by NSS Steel Construction to manufacture 100 tons of platforms to the new hall TA3 at Volvo Cars Torslanda with delivery during the autumn / winter 2013. This is a project that requires short lead times, something we work hard to always perform.
We have been commissioned by Paroc to build 6 filter holders for delivery under the autumn. The order also includesstands and platforms around the filters. This is part of the investments isolation giant Paroc do when they're shutting down production in Finland and moves it to Hällekis and Skövde.
